S.V Poetree started as a dream, as most things do. I have always had an instinct for writing as a way to process and further understand my thoughts. Poetry has been there for me when I was navigating so many parts of my life and discovering my identity as a queer woman. As someone who LOVES local markets, I wanted a way to connect with community while representing something I enjoyed.

In Jan 2021 I launched the brand with my in-house designed logo showcased in our first Instagram post. It was really important to have nature to be incorporated into the vision so my initials followed by Poe-“tree” just made sense.

S.V Poetree has since grown to participating in 20 local markets and has been available in 7 Winnipeg stores. There are LOTS of exciting plans for the 2026 season and we’re grateful to have you along for the journey!
